We have operated our New Issue Service to collectors since 1980 and offer a very comprehensive service. Some items, due to scarcity and short supply, never reach our price lists as they are offered first to new issue customers. This first refusal service on rarer items is, in our opinion, the most important advantage of joining any new issue service.
A standard typed new issue invoice accompanies all sendings. This invoice also doubles as a list as it fully describes everything with issue dates, source, cylinders used, print direction and much more technical information which enables collectors to write up and efficiently sort out their collection. Each item on the invoice is numbered and the stamps are sent out on stock cards identified with the item number – so when you receive your sending you know exactly what you have.
New clients have the opportunity to look through the standard invoice and ordering (subject to availability) anything else, which they may not have pre-booked.
New issue prices are, in most cases, set at levels below our normal advertised retail prices. Over the years, we have built up contacts for sources of supply all over the U.K. and have been able to supply almost all of the scarcer items within the Machin field.
